Hmmm is this a slight change in media style. With a white back ground and a thicker brush pattern that adds more detail through the edges of the brush having less opacity? It works well it seems you have a base painting and then used an overbrushing technique to add more detail. I like it I was wondering if you had done more anatomical drawing with your style.
i did nude-drawings for a project implemented in my final exams at school. over that one year the project lasted i collected about 200 final pencil-drawings, mainly (more) realistic ones. but i see those as studies. i think i posted my leave nr.1 of the project in my scraps; a back-study.
as for the brush patterns i must say i am just trying out this and that. essential with this piece were the areas left of the head which look somehow like scratches to me. and for having a scratch, you obviously need a solid surface to be scratched, which might have brought you to the conclusion about the brush-settings.
nice that you took the time to share your subtile observations,

Makes me think(your work always makes me think) of someone wallowing in self pitty. Meanwhile darkforces are sneaking up on him.
I like the diagonal lines of the black and the contrast created against the white.
Nice work.

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Nice work.
they forsce the artist to label hisor her own work, which i think can be misleading to the viewer.
Wonderful piece though... Without a title it makes me think of Bob Marley
